One of the best ways you can help the Marriage Equality campaign is to become trained as a local spokesperson. Even if you never thought of yourself as the “public speaking” type – learn how to effectively share your story and convince others to support Marriage Equality. This is a training for LGBT and Allied Activists and those who want to become decision makers for their communities.

• Understanding and overcoming the physical and emotional signs of stage fright
• Best talking points on Marriage equality from national polling
• Talking to people of faith
• How your personal story fits in with the larger talking points

Presented in collaboration with Progressive Majority Action Fund, Freedom to Marry, Washington United for Marriage and Equal Rights Washington. Progressive Majority Action Fund has been working in Washington State for seven years to train and elect progressive candidates at all levels of government. They are now working to bookend that election work by working with elected officials after they take office AND by doing activism training with under-represented communities such as LGBT and communities of color.
