Patient/Physician Cooperatives (PPC) is a community-based cooperative designed and intended to help individuals to access healthcare directly without intermediation of insurance companies. This cooperative was created in response to the current broken model of healthcare access and delivery. The folks at PPC would like to reach out to the LGBTQ community to share information about their work and their healthcare access model.

In their words, “This is a chance to learn how you can access affordable primary healthcare without the interference or price mark-up that insurance demands. It is also a way to have a one-on-one relationship with your provider. For providers it is a way to work with uninsured patients and provide them with affordable healthcare. It’s real, and it’s happening all over Portland! We look forward to meeting both new patients and new providers who would like to be a part of this exciting opportunity to heal ourselves and heal our healthcare system in our community.”

Where: Q Center, 4115 N. Mississippi Ave., Portland

When: Wednesday March 20 from 7 – 9 PM.
