Q Center is thrilled and honored to be the recipient of a $16,000 grant from the The Christine and C.F. Swigert Jr. Fund II of The Oregon Community Foundation, and The Harold A. Wagner and Mildred A. Wagner Fund of OCF to strengthen our infrastructure by assessing gaps in community services, augmenting staff, establishing new partnerships and improving outreach through the Q Center Information & Referral, Volunteer and Affinity Group Programs. A convener and community hub, Q Center connects LGBTQIA+ community members and organizations serving our communities with resources that foster mutual recognition, belonging, and resiliency. Our staff, board, and volunteers are invested in making lasting impacts in the lives of everyone we serve and creating a stronger, healthier and more connected community.
The mission of The Oregon Community Foundation is to improve life in Oregon and promote effective philanthropy. OCF works with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes they care about. Through these funds OCF awards more than $60 million annually in grants and scholarships.
The Foundation makes grants through an application process that involves local citizens in the review and evaluation of requests for funds.
