Apple Pay / Google Pay — do they actually improve conversion?

I’ve seen claims that one-click payments increase conversion, but I’m not fully convinced. Yes, it’s faster, but not all users trust it, and not everyone has it set up. For those who tested it properly, did you actually see a noticeable lift or is it overhyped?

One-click payments like Apple Pay or Google Pay do help, but not as much as people expect if the rest of your setup is messy. I tested this on a project and yeah, conversion improved a bit, but the bigger issue was how everything was managed behind the scenes, especially when you have multiple merchants or flows. While dealing with that, I started looking into https://corefy.com/merchant-management  and it gave me a better view of how to organize everything instead of just adding more payment options. Once things were structured properly, the one-click methods actually started to perform better too. From my experience, these tools are not overhyped, but they only work well if your backend is clean. Otherwise you are just adding another button that does not fix the real problem.
