Celebrating Pride Month

Dear Q Center Community,

Happy Pride Month! For the LGBTQSIA+ community June is a time for celebration.  It’s also a time to recognize our defiant and fierce elders who fought for equal rights for all of us.

This year, again, it is clear that the work they started is not done. We are all engaged in a collective journey towards equality, acceptance, and love. Let us stand together in solidarity, advocating for a world where everyone can live openly and authentically without fear.

At Q Center, we are still dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for all members of our community. This Pride Month, we are especially proud to honor the diverse voices and experiences that make our community so unique. From our elders who paved the way to our youth who continue to inspire us, we celebrate each and every one of you.

We previously announced that the Q Center is working toward a re-imagining of how we can come together as a community.

We are not taking this journey alone. On June 9, we hosted leaders and influencers from across the Portland-area LGBTQ2SIA+ community. This gathering was an opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and discuss the collaborative steps we can take to strengthen and support our vibrant LGBTQ2SIA+ community. We are committed to moving forward with intention, inclusivity, and a shared vision for a brighter future. Stay tuned for more updates on the outcomes of this important meeting.
