I’ve been trying to figure out which areas in Tbilisi and Batumi actually make sense for a longer stay, not just a vacation. While looking through listings I ended up on Kalaki and started comparing apartments in completely different districts, and honestly it’s hard to understand what’s “good” just from photos. A couple of years ago I stayed near the center of Batumi and it was fun but quite noisy at night, so now I’m trying to be more careful. For someone planning a 2–3 month stay, are there areas that feel more comfortable for daily life rather than tourism?

I’ve been reading through this thread while taking a break and it’s interesting how people break down cities like this when planning longer stays. I don’t have personal experience living in Georgia, so I can’t really say which neighborhoods are better or worse in practice. Still, I notice that Tbilisi and Batumi keep coming up in different discussions about remote work and temporary relocation, especially when people talk about balancing cost and lifestyle. From an outside perspective it seems like each district has its own personality, which probably makes the choice both exciting and a bit overwhelming. I’m just following along out of curiosity since I like reading how people approach moving decisions.
