Q Community Couch Surfing is a mutual-aid space connecting LGBTQ+ community members who need a safe, temporary place to stay with people who have a couch, spare room, or other short-term space they are willing to offer for free.

Sometimes someone just needs a place to land for a night or two, while traveling through Portland, between housing situations, waiting for a move-in date, dealing with an unexpected situation, or simply needing somewhere safe to sleep.

Members can post when they need a short-term place to crash or when they have space available to offer. Posts should include the general area, dates needed or available, accessibility information, pets or other household considerations, and anything else someone should know before connecting.

This group is specifically for very short-term, free stays. It is not intended for rentals, subleases, long-term housing arrangements, or paid accommodations. Those looking for longer-term housing should use Q Community Housing.

Q Center does not match or screen hosts and guests, so members should communicate clearly, protect their personal information, establish expectations in advance, and make decisions that feel safe for everyone involved.

Have a little space? Help someone land. Need somewhere to land? Reach out to community.
