Legacy Giving

Leave a Legacy of Community
A legacy gift is a powerful way to help ensure Q Center continues to serve and support LGBTQIA2S+ communities for generations to come.
By including Q Center in your will, trust, retirement account, or other long-term plans, you can make a lasting investment in a future where our communities continue to have access to connection, care, advocacy, and belonging.
Legacy giving is not only for people of great wealth. Many legacy gifts are made through simple estate plans and can have a meaningful impact over time.
Why Legacy Giving Matters:
Q Center exists because people believed in building something that would outlast any one moment, one generation, or one challenge. A legacy gift helps protect that vision for the future.
Your gift can help sustain:
-
community programs and resources
-
affirming space for connection and gathering
-
advocacy, education, and wellness initiatives
-
long-term stability for Q Center and the people we serve
Examples of Legacy Gifts
There are many ways to leave a legacy gift to Q Center. Some of the most common include:
-
A gift in your will or living trust:
You can leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after other gifts are made.
-
Retirement accounts:
You can name Q Center as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension, or other retirement plan.
-
Life insurance policies:
You can name Q Center as a full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
-
Bank or investment accounts:
Some checking, savings, brokerage, or other financial accounts allow you to name a payable-on-death or transfer-on-death beneficiary.
-
Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds:
Donors may choose to leave publicly traded securities or other investment assets.
-
Real estate or property:
This can include a home, land, rental property, or other real estate holdings.
-
Business interests:
Some donors choose to leave an ownership interest in a business, LLC, or partnership.
-
Personal property of value:
In some cases, donors may leave valuable items such as artwork, collectibles, jewelry, or other assets.
-
Charitable trusts or other planned giving arrangements:
Some supporters choose more structured giving options through their estate plans.
We welcome gifts that support Q Center’s overall mission, and we are also open to discussing gifts designated for a specific purpose, including donor-directed intentions when possible.
